Skipjack Cove Yachting Resort and Marina is a family oriented premier marina on the Chesapeake Bay's beautiful Sassafras River in Cecil County, Maryland. The Sassafras River remains as it was many years ago with peaceful anchorages, fresh water, and small beaches to enjoy. Whether you are looking for a boat slip, an overnight stay, a bite to eat, or a stop for fuel, our marina can accommodate vessels up to 120 feet.

2018 Slip Rates

Payment Plan

15% deposit due October 31; 50% due January 31; 35% due March 31.
Deposits are refundable on a pro-rated basis until March 1st. After March 1st no refund will be made.

LOA = LENGTH OVER ALL includes anchor, pulpit, platform, davit
Dockbox - $100 (seasonal) or $150 (annual)
Limited dingy rack storage.

Transient Rates

Seasonal Dockage

May 1 through September 30

  • $1.50/foot: Daily including weekends 
  • $30.00/day: Amenity usage for boats anchored out.
  • $2/foot: on Holiday weekends (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day weekends)

* 48 hour cancellation policy. One night's stay charged if reservation canceled less than 48 hours in advance of arrival (unless small craft warnings have been issued for the Bay). Two night minimum on Holidays.

Off Season Dockage

Before May 1 and after October 1

  • $1.00/ft/night: Daily, including weekends


  • $5.00/night: 1 X 30 amp/125 volt
  • $10.00/night: 2 X 30 amp/125 volt
  • $10.00/night: 1 X 50 amp/250 volt

Pump Outs

Available at Fuel Dock.

Pavilion Group Catering Services:

  • Per person amenity charge $5.00 as applicable
  • Rental charges: $100 per hour for first two hours; $50 per hour after. (Charges may vary according to group size and occasion.
  • Reservations necessary.

GAZEBO Picnic Area (TJ's)

Available for boaters at no charge on a first come, first serve basis.

Check here in case of prolonged loss of phone service at the marina.

Monitor the weather closely.

Please remember you are ultimately responsible for your boat and any damage it may cause to other vessels or the marina.

In case of Severe Weather:

  1. Double all lines (if high water is expected put the adjustable end of the line on the boat instead of the dock.)
  2. Remove all food from the refrigerator. (power may be turned off.)
  3. Remove any loose canvas and unsecured items from your boat and slip.
  4. Remove jet skis, boats, and dinghies from the water.
